Infographic Poster
Design Brief
For the Infographic brief, we were tasked to research all types of infographics from different eras, as well as different topics. We were to then pick a subject of our choosing, research and then design the infographic about our chosen topic.
My Approach
When creating the infographic, I instantly knew I wanted to do one about an already extinct creature. The issue was choosing what creature to do! After being stuck between a raptor or a Saber-Toothed Cat, I chose the cat!
I learned a lot while researching this creature, and it has been one of my favourite assessments I’ve done yet!
Technique
When designing the Saber-Toothed cat, I sketched it out on the program Procreate before moving it over to Adobe Illustrator where I then used the pen, paint and text tool to bring the whole infographic together!
My Infographic is based on the long extinct
Saber-Toothed Cat. While creating this infographic I learned a lot more then I thought I would, but I have also learned that although this is a well known animal within the extinct kingdom, there isn’t much information on it than I had previously thought.
While considering designs for my Saber-Cat, one of the few sketches I worked on had a bit more of a spooky edge to it, wanting to make the animal more unsettling rather then the pose i had gone with, which is based off of a lioness.
