Delivery Company: Pigeon

Design Brief For the courier company brief, we were given a list of names to choose from and create a brand. I chose the name Pigeon, instantly knowing the type of brand I wanted to go for. We were to design a Brand Mascot, Logo and a Style Guide.
My Approach As the name is Pigeon, I wanted to incorporate a pigeon as the Mascot. Meet Mlepclaynos, the clay is silent! He is the mascot for the courier
Technique For creating the mascot, I sketched him out in the program Procreate before transporting him over to Adobe Illustrator, where I used the pen tool and paint tool to bring him to life. I then took him over to Adobe InDesign so that I could get the logo and slogan around him as shown!

With this brief, I instantly knew I wanted to do Pigeon, as my mind had a flurry of ideas. My mascot here had gone through a few designs, starting as just a delivery boy, to flying into a plane, to now being the face of the company. This lil guy has made it so far, and while coming up with him, he became his own little character. Name, personality and all, he even has a signature feather. Meet, Mlepclaynos! (The clay is silent)

When coming up with the idea’s for this project, I originally wanted to incorperate a line from Monty Python and The Holy Grail into it, as I had just watched that movie, and I had even planned out the sketch, except it just feel as if it didn’t fit the feel of the company and decided to go a different direction. Away from Dilvery Boy and more towards an explorer pilot.

When creating the mock ups for this company, I wanted to get a wide range of things that would make sense for a delivery company. Such as jumpers for their uniforms, stationary, delivery trucks, letters and
