Shockolate

Design Brief
For the chocolate box brief, we were tasked to design a logo for either a halloween chocolate brand or an Easter chocolate brand. Because it was nearing halloween, we were told to design a logo and design for a halloween themed chocolate box named, Shockolate.
My Approach
When creating the Shockolate box design, I had a few ideas I wanted to explore, such as a frankenstein’s monster concept, as well as a skull concept. Eventually, I landed on the furry monster design,
Technique
When designing the box design, I sketched out some ideas on Procreate before moving it over to Adobe Illustrator to then bring it to life. After it had been laid out properly, I printed it out on the box design before cutting it out and gluing the box together, creating the now amazing Shockolate box!

My Shockolate box had gone through a few designs, such as a skull. The original concept was for the top to open to reveal goo and have the top of the box be the base top of a skull. Eventually, I moved on to a different design, the finished product.

My monster design is inspired by a few things. I wanted to make something that resembled a mimic, a creature that can disguise itself as an object or person to deceive others.
