Infographic Poster

Design Brief We were asked to find royalty free images and to create a low poly, photoshop and illustrated images so that one of them could be used as a magazine cover, having it match the magazines style.

My Approach I went through many concepts for the photoshop and illustrated design but finally decided on both being a doomsday aesthetic. One including fallen angels while the other is more of a zombie apocalypse, which is why I thought it would suit WIRED Magazine the most!

Technique
For my Surrealism and Illustrated covers, I used Adobe Photoshop as well as a Wacom so that I could get the finer details when sketching and using the selection brush tool. I also used the normal brush tool while sketching with the Illustrated cover. The Low Poly was done in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool and the eye dropper to make sure the colours were accurate and not guessed.

When designing my illustrated photoshop image, I knew that I wanted to do something End Of The World, apocalypse, zombie themed, while maintaining the eerie yet goofy illustrative drawings.

When working on it, I did have a little difficulty trying to find the right green for the words, as well as making sure the white stood out. Luckily making the background darker was the right way to go, which helped create the effect I wanted to achieve.
