Gamit Magazine

Design Brief In this design brief we were tasked to design our own character/creature to go on the front of a gaming magazine. We were to collect multiple images of a character/creature and turn it into our own, using the images to create a new pose.
My Approach I collected images of a Death claw from the game Fallout, combining them to create a new pose for my furry little friend over here. He is the main creature in my fake game, Outfall. Technique
Technique Creating my furry friend over here I used the program Procreate to combine the images to make a new pose, sketching over it then transporting it over to Adobe Illustrator, using the pen tool to outline everything then using the paint tool to colour it all in.
My Gamit Magazine is based off the popular game, Fallout. I’ve always loved the concept of a post fallout setting, as it opens up to so many imagintive ideas. Although for my concept, I decided to go in the opposite direction for the setting. Instead of a hot, deserted wasteland, i decided to have mine themed around a frozen wasteland.

While considering the designs for my cover, i was unsure if i wanted to add a person to the cover along with my creature. Down below I explored the idea of having the Woolly Deathclaw holding a head, as well as it crawling over a desk while someone hides, giving off Jurrasic Park themes.
